An Unhinged Promotions fight night at the Hub in Kilkenny has been cancelled after a knockout sparked a mass brawl that spilled from the ring into the crowd, with chairs thrown and an alleged stabbing.

A Connemara Journal reporter inside the venue on Saturday night saw the event descend into chaos. The trouble began moments after a knockout, when the fighter known as Modeen appeared to go after Tommy Robinson at ringside.
Within seconds, fighters, cornermen and spectators were brawling in the aisles. Footage seen by the Journal shows a boxer still in his gloves throwing punches among the ringside seats, while security staff struggled to pull people apart.

Chairs thrown as the crowd turned on each other
Our reporter saw chairs being thrown across the floor as the violence spread through the audience. Fans scrambled to get away from the ringside area, and many filmed the scenes on their phones.
Alleged stabbing
There are reports that a person was stabbed during the melee. This has not been confirmed by Gardaí or by the promoters, and there is no information on anyone’s condition at this time.
Event cancelled
The rest of the card was called off following the violence. Our reporter at the venue confirmed that the event did not go ahead after the brawl.
Unhinged Promotions has not yet commented. Gardaí have not yet released a statement.
This is a developing story. The Connemara Journal will update this article as more information becomes available.
