The third annual 5km Harvest Run / Walk will be held in Moycullen on Saturday October 8.

This fun-filled day out for all the family will be raising funds for the Ladies Juvenile football club, promoting Gaelic football at all levels from Under-8 to Under-18.

All are welcome to take part, whether you are interested in racing, running, jogging or just walking.

Whichever method you choose, you can pit your strengths against your friends, as everybody who registers will be chipped and timed.

As always, a carnival atmosphere will prevail at the pitch and refreshments will be served to all with a ‘healthy option’ for everybody.

Please support us and help us to develop the footballing skills of our girls and women. The event kicks off at 2pm with a looped route from Moycullen GAA pitch. Entry costs €15 per person or €50 for a team of four, and registration will be available on the day.

Couch to 5K Fitness/Wellbeing Programme: In preparation for the run, a Couch-to-5K fitness and wellbeing programme is being organised again this year to help people get in shape for the event.

The hourly fitness regime takes place on Monday nights at 7pm, starting from the clubhouse. Run by local fitness enthusiast Pat O’Dwyer, the programme got underway last week but there is still plenty of time to get involved. All welcome.
