Speaking of the new service, Irene Cummins of the Moycullen Community Development Association said: ‘We will be strictly adhering to all HSE guidelines and safety procedures and we will not be in direct contact with any member of the community, rather we will be directing people to the relevant recognized group who are responsible for each particular service. We will also have a strict confidentiality code in place so that the public can have full confidence in the service.’
Moycullen Community Development Association are also contributing €5,000 euro towards a local support fund and a similar amount has been donated by a local resident. Further contributions will also be welcome. This fund will be administered by the local support group Cruinniú and the Saint Vincent de Paul.
Séamus Ó Céide, manager of the Development Association, said: ‘We are delighted with the widespread support we are receiving across all sections of the community, which shows the desire to support each other through these difficult times. Ní neart go cur le chéile.’
